At Bear Valley Church we offer a great variety of different classes and groups where adults of all ages and seniors can connect with peers, learn more about Jesus and find a place to feel at home and serve other people.
The Encounter is about encountering Jesus and each other in an honest, transparent community. The class is open to anyone regardless of age and how long you've been a Christian, and also extremely relevant if you are only just starting to get to know Jesus. The only prerequisite for showing up is a teachable spirit and a willingness to experience Jesus and each other. The Encounter focuses on learning about who we are in Christ, learning how to live honest and transparent lives with each other, and seeking to experience healing from wounds and lies. The Encounter meets every Sunday at 11:00 AM in Room 201 (BVC’s library). Please contact Missions Pastor Torben Jensen for more info.
Many of Colorado’s mountain peaks are above Timberline, the elevation at which trees stop growing, where the air gets much thinner, and where you can see for miles and miles. Timberline is about challenging believers to a fresh experience of God’s presence, living and seeing life from God’s perspective, above and beyond how the world sees. Timberline is a large "small group” made up of 40+ year-old believers who actively pursue spiritual growth through biblical teaching and discussion. The three different co-teachers, Erik Hall, Matt Jones, and Scott Lumpkin make every week at Timberline unique. Timberline meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM in Room 202.
