2:42 Groups at Bear Valley are designed to incorporate the following four practices found in Acts 2:42 studying Scripture, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. In doing so, we want to help lay the foundation for who we are called to be as a church that is committed to experiencing the life God has for each of His children. We believe that being part of a 2:42 Group is an integral part of becoming a healthy church seeking to live on mission to lead people to know, love, and follow Jesus.

Our Fall semester of off-campus groups kicks off on Sunday, September 10. Feel free to peruse the list of groups and classes that currently meet or will begin soon. 2:42 Groups meet on and off campus so find a group that works for you and get connected.

Description

Our hope is to become a transformed community that serves to bless and influence our neighbors and the world with the Gospel, which we do not believe can be done unless we are ENCOURAGED and EQUIPPED to ENGAGE with our neighbors and the world well. We first seek to prioritize encouragement, modeling our approach after the first disciples of Jesus in the early church of Acts 2:42, where "they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Young Adults (graduates of high school through age 30) gather for that very purpose in that very style every Sunday at 11am in the Student Room on the lower-level of Bear Valley Church. We eat together, we grow together, we pray together, we support one another, and we would love for you to join us!
