Bear Valley Youth
We are the 6th - 12th grade ministry of Bear Valley Church. Our goal is to help students know, love and follow Jesus! We gather weekly from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday nights. On a typical Sunday night you can expect games, worship, teaching, and small groups. We can't wait to meet you!
WHY BEAR VALLEY?

WHEN DO YOU MEET?
We meet on Sunday nights from 6-8PM
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL NIGHT LOOK LIKE?
6:00-6:15 - Student's check in and enjoy some time with friends in our student area
6:15-6:30 - Group Game/Activity
6:30-6:45 - Worship
6:45-7:05 - Message
7:05-7:15 - Worship
7:15-8:00 - Life Groups
WHAT ELSE DOES YOUR MINISTRY OFFER OUTSIDE OF YOUTH
Monthly Special Events: We put a large emphasis on evangelism and an invite culture here at Bear Valley. We offer monthly special events as an opportunity for students to invite their friends and have a night full of amazing activities, attractions, and free food
YTH+ : Are small groups that meets monthly with our YTH Students walking them through how to live as a disciple of Jesus: to be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did. YTH+ happens in the Fall and Spring and is a small group that emphasizes Community, Change and Calling and becoming a disciple that makes disciples.
Retreats & Conferences: We currently offer a Winter Retreat & depending on the year will attend 1-2 conferences offered in Colorado
Mission Trips: Our yearly mission trip occurs during the Summer. In the past we have visited Cambodia, Guatemala, and other locations
HOW DO LIFE GROUPS WORK?
Sunday Nights: Life Groups meet immediately after our message and are based on your gender and grade. Our Life Group Leaders (Background Checked & Interviewed Volunteers) will lead their students through questions based on the message and how to apply what they learned into their daily lives
Outside of Sunday Nights: We believe that a Life Group is much more than just a "Sunday night thing". Our Life Groups meet multiple times together throughout the year to develop their relationships as a group and develop friends that they can truly do life with.

YTH+
We invite all Youth students to join us for YTH+ this season! YTH+ is a discipleship group that helps students dive deeper into their faith outside of Sunday nights.
What is YTH+
YTH+ is a small group that meets monthly with our YTH Students walking them through how to live as a disciple of Jesus: to be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did. YTH+ happens in the Fall and Spring and is a small group that emphasizes Community, Change and Calling.
Who Is this Course For?
This course is designed for students brand new in their faith, students who feel “stuck” or “distant” from God, or students looking to take the next step in their spiritual journey as disciples of Jesus
Why YTH+ over a traditional Bible Study?
- Our mission here at Bear Valley is to help become disciples who make disciples. We chose to launch YTH+ for the following reasons
- We want to equipt students with spiritual disciplines that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives
- We wanted a personalized experience for each student regardless of where they are at in their faith journey to help them take their next step
- Student’s lives are busy, and a weekly commitment outside of a Sunday night is hard for both students and parents. By moving to a monthly format, this will be more time effective for both parents and students
- Our goal here at Bear Valley is to instill a life long faith in students that continues into college and beyond. With YTH+ we will intentionally pour into each individual student and teach them how to be with Jesus, become like him and do as he did
Where & When does YTH+ meet?
- We have multiple groups that meet on a monthly basis. Please reach out to Pastor Tristen for those dates.
- We will be meeting at Bear Valley Church in the Student Room, and food will be provided!
How will my student benefit if this is only monthly?
Each student will be given a companion guide when they register for YTH+. After our monthly meeting contained within the companion guide will be spiritual exercises that help your student put what we’re covering into practice. There will then be guided reflections for students leading up to the next YTH+. This will allow students to have plenty of time to put these disciplines into practice and have time to reflect on their spiritual formation. Additionally Pastor Tristen will be reaching out biweekly to check in on how your student is doing and see if any help is needed.
