Xhosa Gospel Mission
East London, South Africa
Hoppy started the Xhosa Gospel Mission in 1996. The mission works among the poor and unemployed. It has four legs that it stands on, church planting, preschools, AIDS hospice, and orphans. Three churches have been established, three preschools have 100 children. AIDS is still a major problem in South Africa with 6 million sufferers. We also have an orphan ministry with six homes. Our goal is to create a family that the children never had. We have 42 children, ages 2 months to 15 years.
Xhosa Gospel Mission is dedicated to the well-being of the Xhosa people in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa, through presenting of the Gospel and striving to help people meet basic needs of health, education, and training, motivated by the love of God.
